Prosecutors allege Fort Bend County Judge KP George used county funds to pay former staffer Taral Patel for campaign work and made a down payment on a personal vehicle using campaign money.

They’re among the latest accusations to surface against the embattled county judge, who is facing two felony counts of money laundering and a misdemeanor charge of misrepresentation of identity .

The Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office made the allegations in an Aug. 21 court filing.

Attorneys for George and Patel could not immediately be reached for comment.
