The US Women’s National Sled Hockey Team won gold at the inaugural World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship, making them our VA Hero of the Week!

The team beat Canada 7-1 in the gold-medal game, with tournament MVP Kelsey DiClaudio leading the team with four goals of her own.

Team USA finished the tournament with an outstanding 4-0-0-0 record, outscoring their opponents 34-1.
