Meet Esther, a sweet-natured Catahoula Leopard/Cur mix who is ready to spend her golden years in a safe and loving home.

She is at Brookhaven Animal Rescue League waiting on someone to notice her and give her a home.

At around 8 years old and weighing 51 pounds, Esther has been through a lot in her lifetime. She was rescued from a difficult situation where she had been kept chained outside. Despite her rough past, Esther’s gentle spirit shines through.

This beautiful girl walks well on a leash, takes treats with the softest manners, and gets along well with other dogs. She has also shown little interest in cats, making her an easygoing companion for many types of households.
