SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio. (WSAZ) - The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection to a homicide that occurred on Sept. 1 at 218 Millers Run Fallen Timber Road in Lucasville.

Sheriff David Thoroughman said his 911 communication center received a 911 call on Sept. 1 at 9:40 p.m.

The caller said that he had stopped by the residence to check on his friend and found his friend unresponsive and possibly deceased, Sheriff Thoroughman said.

He said detectives have been investigating the homicide since it was reported and they were able to identify a person of interest on Sept. 2 at 3:23 p.m.

After searching various locations, detectives were able to locate the individual inside a business in Portsmouth, according to Sheriff Thoroughman.
