ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - A heavy police presence was seen on Rapides Avenue on the afternoon of September 3. This comes after the Alexandria Police Department reported someone had been shot in the area the night before.

Details are limited at this time. APD units could be seen near the House of Flowers building and the Chester Street area of Rapides Avenue.
