EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - El Paso County announced Tuesday afternoon that planning for the Fox Run Nature Center has been paused, saying the decision had been made considering the “current economic environment.”

Plans for the nature center placed it just north of Colorado Springs and east of the Gleneagle area, in Fox Run Regional Park. According to a timeline on the project information website, construction was supposed to begin this year, and a grand opening was scheduled to occur in 2026.
