A liberal filmmaking legend has surprisingly heaped praise on President Donald Trump, the New York Post reported.

Oscar-winning Hollywood director Woody Allen, appearing on the Bill Maher podcast “Club Random,” praised Trump’s acting skills and “charismatic quality.”

Trump made a cameo appearance in Allen’s 1998 film “Celebrity.”

Said Allen, “I am one of the few people who can say he directed Trump.”

“He was a pleasure to work with and a very good actor. He was very polite, and his mark, and did everything correctly,” Allen said.

Maher jokingly responded, “How dare you?”

Allen said he was not a Trumper and revealed that he had voted for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election.
