The Boston Red Sox were in prayer, hoping that the anchor of their team and the one keeping their postseason dreams alive would have a great result at the MRI. But it hasn’t. Roman Anthony, after another stunning performance with the Guardians, had left with an oblique tightness. And it had Boston in a chokehold.

Anthony, while awaiting an MRI, had mentioned that, “ I’m hoping for the best and staying positive. But any time I’m not out there … it sucks.” But alas, it seems like that’s not the case. Now, less than just 24 hours after the star rookie left the game, the Boston Red Sox are said to place him on the injured list.

Both Chris Cotillo and Boston Strong confirmed Alex Cora’s news on their social media handles. And it is looking like a 4 to 6 week hiatus for the star rookie.
