FORT DODGE, Iowa -- The Fort Dodge Police Department have made an arrest in connection with a Tuesday morning shooting that killed one person.

Authorities state that just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a gunshot in the 500 block of N 28th Street in Fort Dodge. Fort Dodge officers arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound outside an apartment building.

On Wednesday, authorities announced that after an investigation 38-year-old Rolman H. Recinos Gonzales was arrested on Tuesday and charged with the following: • Murder in the First Degree • Trafficking in Stolen Weapons • Person Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons

Gonzales is being held at the Webster County Jail.

The identity of the victim is not being released
