Pilots for Flair Airlines are the latest group of workers looking to negotiate their contract with a Canadian airline.

Flair pilots, represented by Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), informed the discount carrier on Sept. 2 of its intention to formally open contract negotiations on group’s new collective agreement.

Their current agreement is set to expire on Dec. 31.

The ALPA said the more than 250 pilots working for Flair are ready to negotiate.

“Flair pilots have already made sacrifices in the past to ensure this airline’s viability,” Aimee Wintle, ALPA’s chairperson for Flair, said in a press release.
