In a sea of overpriced listings, Annie Bastian is chasing a home that moves with the tide.

She's hoping to call a marina on the North Shore of Massachusetts her home in a whole new take on affordable housing.

"To find a house anywhere, or even an apartment, a one-bedroom starts at $2,500-$2,700. How are people affording that?" asked Annie Bastian. "My whole life I've always wanted to live on a houseboat. It's just been a dream of mine. So I thought, why don't I check into it?"

There are a lot of different kinds of so-called "live aboards." Some people live on sailboats. Others live on floating homes, which are built on a barge and can be more expensive.
