A section of the M8 has now re-opened following an earlier crash that saw traffic at a standstill.
Emergency services responded to the incident at around 2.25pm after a van "crashed" into the central reservation barriers near Junction 22 Eastbound, according to an eye-witness.
Glasgow Live previously reported that firefighters had rescued one casualty from the vehicle, who was blue-lighted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
In a more recent update, Traffic Scotland confirmed the re-opening of all lanes on the main M8 carriageway after delays of around 40 minutes. However, lane four on the secondary M8 carriageway leading towards the M74 remains closed due to barrier damage.
