Mt. VERNON, Ind. (WEHT) -- A ribbon cutting was held for a nature-based children's learning center today in Mt. Vernon.
According to officials, "Marty's Mobile Mudroom,” created by Mud-Puppy Palace, is a traveling lab that brings kids hands-on learning. It will travel within 30 minutes of Mount Vernon for parties, events or field trips.
The celebration included tours and demonstrations of the facility. Officials are also working on building a permanent campus with a nature trail, playground, camps and expert presentations.
They are currently accepting donations to build a permanent campus and hope to have it up and running within the next few years.
