BARTONVILLE ( 25News Now ) - An increased police presence will be seen at Limestone Community High School in Bartonville after police and school administrators said they investigated an “extremely vague” online report.
Bartonville Police and Limestone School Superintendent Keith Brown released statements late Tuesday night.
Brown said rumors spread after a student made an anonymous report on the Safe2HelpIL platform that was “extremely vague” and included no names or direct threat information.
Rumors spread through the community, but officials said they determined there was no credible threat to school safety.
Still, police are planning to provide extra protection, according to a statement posted on the police department’s Facebook page .
