LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Lutheran Middle/High School broke ground on Wednesday for its new Warrior Wellness Center, aimed at promoting the physical, mental and spiritual wellness of its students.
The facility will include an indoor turf, track lane, weight room, two classrooms and several offices, and will provide programming and classes for physical fitness, strength and conditioning and mental health support.
Dan Masters with the Lutheran Education Foundation said the hope is to open by early next year, allowing all students in the 6th to 12 grade school to use the facility, regardless of their athletic participation.
Masters said the center has been in the works since 2023, and is all part of the school’s Warrior Wellness Initiative.
