(WNDU) - Corn and soybean farmers in Indiana are struggling with the market uncertainty as President Trump continues his tariff war with Mexico and China.
WNDU 16 News Now spoke with some Michiana farmers who say the last six months have been one of the toughest times for their business, adding the ongoing tariff war is making the situation worse.
“I think that’s the biggest thing right now for farmers. They just kind of want to know where things are going and how bad it’s going to get,” says Connor Ruesch, a merchandiser for Viterra US.
Ruesch helps corn and soybean farmers in northern Indiana to sell their crops at better prices. He says farmers are going through one of the hardest times right now because of the low price tags.
