FERRISBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) - Ferrisburgh has a population of about 2,800. It’s the ninth-largest town in Vermont by area, and has the longest shoreline frontage of any Vermont town on Lake Champlain -- 21 miles. If you’re eating for two, a four-and-a-half-mile stretch of Route 7 in Ferrisburgh might just be the place to do it. We started at the Ferrisburgh Bake Shop & Deli , where you can get sandwiches, but also some pretty massive cookies.

It’s a spot for early risers in search of croissants, scones, and other baked goods. The lunch crowd of regulars and first-timers picks up specialty sandwiches.
