Amanda Anisimova gained revenge over Iga Swiatek for her Wimbledon final defeat, with a stunning victory in the US Open quarter-finals.

Less than two months after suffering a humiliating 6-0, 6-0 defeat to the Polish star at the All England Club, Anisimova got her own back in Flushing Meadows with a 6-4 6-4 victory.

The US star was left in tears in SW19 when she became the first person in the Open era at Wimbledon to lose a Grand Slam final without winning a game.

But there were no tears this time around, as Anisimova showcased the best of her ability to get past Swiatek in Flushing Meadows.

After falling a break down in her opening game, fans may have been left fearing the worst for the home favourite.
