It was a rough start to the 2025 season for the Tar Heels , but Drake Maye doesn’t seem too worried about his alma mater.

“I wouldn’t say yet,” the New England Patriots quarterback said Wednesday. “It was tough watching that Monday night. That first drive looked good. ... I’ll be tuned in all season."

UNC was blown out by TCU in its opening game, 48-14 in Chapel Hill in Bill Belichick’s debut as a college coach.

Maye met Belichick during an offseason visit to UNC, and believes the program will find its footing under the legendary coach.
