BILLINGS, Mont. – A mule deer fawn was discovered shot with an arrow and left to waste at the Billings Rod and Gun Club archery range, according to Montana FWP Region 5 Enforcement.
Warden Courtney Tyree stated that the fawn was likely shot over a week ago. The club staff noticed a smell of decomposition and found the deer with the arrow still in its hindquarters, FWP said in a release .
The property is located about a mile west of the Billings airport.
