BREMER COUNTY, Iowa —
The Iowa State Patrol revealed the name of the individual killed in a motorcycle crash in northeastern Iowa Tuesday, KCRG reports .
The crash took place at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Highway 218, near Mile Marker 195.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred as the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on the inner lanes of Highway 218. The motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle and entered into the median.
Debris from the motorcycle struck a white Jeep driving on the inner lane of Highway 218 northbound. The Jeep sustained minimal damage as a result of the crash.
The motorcyclist, 44-year-old Robert Detmering III of Osage, died at the scene.
