A north suburban woman is sharing her story after being randomly attacked while walking to Union Station in Chicago’s Loop.
The vicious assault happened near Washington and Franklin last month, and the victim told NBC Chicago she was knocked out by a man who police said has done this before to other women.
That victim, Kathleen Miles, said her life will never be the same after being nearly killed downtown.
“It’s not okay, and I’m going to stand up and speak to make sure that this doesn’t happen or something worst to someone else,” she said. “I would feel guilty and responsible if I didn’t speak.”
