A family is seeking help from the public after a 21-year-old woman was critically injured in a weekend hit-and-run.

Jada Brown was struck by a vehicle near Chicago’s Ellis Park on Sunday night, with a hit-and-run driver fleeing the scene and leaving her with life-threatening injuries, her family told NBC Chicago.

Brown was attending an end-of-summer picnic at the time of the crash.

“She got hit pretty bad. Broken ankle, broken leg, broken pelvis,” her father Jeffery Brown said. “He came through there and ran my daughter over and kept going..it is like a ghost, one he was gone, he was gone.”

Ashley Williams told NBC Chicago she was nearby before the crash.
