COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia animal rescue Pawmetto Lifeline says it has reached full capacity for kittens and will host a “KITTEN 911” Emergency Adoption Event this weekend in an effort to save more lives.

The event will take place Friday, Sept. 5, and Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pawmetto Lifeline’s facility on Bower Parkway in Columbia.

Every kennel is currently full, leaving the rescue unable to take in additional cats and kittens until adoptions or foster placements open space.

To encourage adoptions, kitten fees have been reduced: $25 for kittens three months and older, and $50 for kittens under three months. Specials will also be available for adult cats, puppies, and dogs.
