Santa Maria will see transformative projects completed Saturday as Serve Santa Maria hosts its 28th Day of Service, and volunteers of all ages are invited to join the effort.
Those interested in joining the effort, powered by local churches, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and the City, should gather at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St., between 8:30 and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Coffee, juice, fruit and donuts will be offered free of charge, before teams fan out across the city to work on more than 20 projects including yardwork, graffiti abatement, litter cleanup, repainting school playground maps and helping seniors with home improvements.
