American Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova are one victory away from winning another Grand Slam tennis championship.

Ranked the No. 1 women’s doubles team in the world, Townsend and Siniakova defeated No. 4 Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens 6-3, 7-6 in the semifinals of the US Open on Wednesday afternoon at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Flushing Meadows, New York.

Townsend and Siniakova will take on the No. 3 seeded Erin Routliffe and Jasmine Paolini in the championship game, which will be held on Friday at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

It will be the third Grand Slam final for the team of Townsend and Siniakova. They won championships at Wimbledon in 2024 and the Australian Open this year. Townsend has also advanced to two other Grand Slam finals, finishing second in both matches.
