Port Dover residents packed the Norfolk County council chamber on Wednesday afternoon to raise concern about two proposed housing developments in the lakeside community.
Speakers came to the microphone one after another at a public hearings committee meeting to weigh in on a proposal to turn a property from the site of a single-family home at 711 Main St. to a 12-unit stacked townhouse and a separate proposal for a 10-unit stacked townhouse on Scott Drive.

The applicants for the Main Street development, Timothy and Laura Rodger, are proposing to rezone the land with some special provisions, including an increase in the maximum units allowed from eight to 12; and a reduction in the required parking spaces from 24 to 19.
