Fungi will be fêted as Kennett Square hosts its 40th Mushroom Festival this weekend.
State Street in the "Mushroom Capital of the World" will be the center of all-things mushroom on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with restaurants and activities all jumping on the theme.
Tickets are $5 per person, and provide you access to 220 vendors, along with two days of musical performances.
Wilmington's Jennifer Behm, a contestant on Season 2 of Master Chef is hosting a cooking demonstration Saturday from 4-6 p.m. on the Culinary Stage at South Union Street.
Sunday brings the Mushroom Cooking Contest finale at 10:00, followed by the "En Fuego!" Fried Mushroom Eating Contest.
