ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota State Fair goers appear to overwhelmingly approve of legislation that would ban guns at the Minnesota State Capitol.
That's according to an annual poll that has been gauging political preferences on hot-button issues at the fairgrounds for roughly 50 years.
"All of these questions were based on legislation that was introduced in the House this year but did not become law," said Barry LaGrave, director of nonpartisan House Public Information Services, which conducts the annual, unscientific poll.
LaGrave: "It's an unscientific because it's just a snapshot of the fair goers, people that happened to be in the education building where the house (booth) is located and happened to stop by and take our poll."
