GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The $1.4 billion Powerball jackpot has people flocking to gas stations and convenience stores this week.

Jan Lastocy from Belmont said that she rarely buys lottery tickets but believed Wednesday night was the perfect night to buy one with the enormous Powerball jackpot.

"You can't win if you don't play. But we usually don't play unless it's pretty big, and this is pretty big,” Lastocy said.

It’s the 4th largest Powerball jackpot ever and the 6th largest jackpot ever.

Lastocy said that for her, there’s only one place to buy them.

“You have to come to Party World," Lastocy said. "When they shake it across that little four-leaf clover, every little bit helps.”
