HOUSTON -- Devin Williams allowed an eighth-inning leadoff double and three walks, the last forcing in the go-ahead run, as the Yankees fell to the Astros, 8-7 , on Wednesday night.

New York, which had won its previous eight games at Daikin Park, fell to 3 1/2 games behind Toronto in the American League East .

Carlos Correa doubled off Williams, who then walked Jesús Sánchez, struck out Yainer Diaz, walked Christian Walker and struck out Ramón Urías to set the stage for Taylor Trammell, who broke a 4-4 tie by taking five pitches for a run-scoring walk. Jeremy Peña added an RBI single off Camilo Doval, who then allowed two more runs on a balk and a wild pitch.
