LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was sentenced Wednesday for sexually assaulting a sleeping woman.
Jason Frost, 45, was sentenced to eight to 12 years in prison for attempted first-degree sexual assault.
He was given credit for about nine months already spent behind bars.
The assault happened last December at a home near Interstate 80 and Interstate 180.
Court documents say a 31-year-old woman woke up to find Frost sexually assaulting her.
She yelled, and Frost ran away.
He was originally charged with first-degree sexual assault but pleaded no contest to the lesser charge in July.
Frost could be eligible for parole in a little more than three years.
He is required to register as a sex offender for 15 years to the rest of his life.
