Vista Chino in Palm Springs will be closed at the wash starting at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3.

The closure is taking place for maintenance work. City crews plan to clear shoulder and drainage lanes and move sand to the south side of the wash.

The road is frequently impacted by dust, making the maintenance necessary.

The city expects the road to be reopened by the afternoon.
