Many believed that Jennings' not practicing had to do with a contract holdout, though that was never corroborated by 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. In fact, Jennings has been dealing with a lingering calf injury that kept him out of action through preseason.

The good news is Jennings is expected to take the field when the 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1. Divisional rival games are never easy, and the team desperately needs all the help it can get in terms of pass catchers.
