Artificial Intelligence is fueling economic development
When it comes to tapping into artificial intelligence as an economic development generator, regions have to take charge of their future.
"Being involved with AI looks like it could be extremely beneficial in some ways for the the economy, and not being involved could lead a place to slip farther behind," said Mark Muro, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, the Washington, D.C.-based think tank. "We know that these technology economies are winner-take-most: the leaders pull away from the pack."
Brookings drives home that point in a report analyzing how regions around the country stack up in AI activity. Buffalo received a mid-level grade. It ranked 80th out of 195 metro areas, based on its ra
