BEACHWOOD, Ohio -- Although there will be still more approvals needed, a planned apartment building cleared a hurdle Tuesday (Sept. 2), when City Council voted to allow a variance in the amount of studio or one-bedroom units that will be permitted within the proposed building.

Wisconsin’s Wangard Partners has been planning for the past year an apartment building at 23250 Chagrin Blvd., next door to The Vue apartments, located at the southeast corner of Chagrin Boulevard and South Green Road.

Preliminary plans now call for the demolition of the four-story office building now at 23250 Chagrin Blvd., and the construction of a proposed new building that could stand six stories high.
