Cruisin’ CT: This quirky, used book store in Niantic is drawing in crowds from Connecticut and beyond

NIANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) -- Self-described as a 'self-retreat' for book lovers, used bookstore The Book Barn has been drawing in crowds for decades.

Located in Niantic, owner Randi White says he's always been a book lover and decided to get into the book-selling business on a whim and never stopped.

"Just the atmosphere here, that we celebrate books, I think, brings people here," White said.

From small beginnings, selling books out of the basement of their main building, books have since spilled onto the side yards of the property alongside two other sister locations down the road.
