Two vehicles were set ablaze in less than an hour in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard on Wednesday night. Police will attempt to determine if these two incidents are related, but were cautious at the outset of their investigation.
The two vehicles, a minivan and a car, were set on fire shortly after midnight.
The first incident occurred in the private driveway of a residence on Viau Blvd., near Jonquet Street, while the second took place on de Ligneris Street, near Metropolitan Blvd.
In both cases, witnesses reported to police that they saw suspects set fire to the vehicles before fleeing.
The Montreal Police (SPVM) arson unit will lead the investigation into both cases.
“The investigation is ongoing, and at this point, it is still too early to make a connection between these two arsons,” sai
