MERCER, Pa. - A Sharpsville woman is scheduled to be sentenced today after pleading guilty to felony drug delivery resulting in a man's overdose death.

Forty-nine-year-old Melody Lynn Taylor pleaded guilty on April 25 to drug delivery resulting in death. Her sentencing is scheduled for today in Mercer County Common Pleas Court before Judge Tedd Nesbit.

The charges against Taylor followed an investigation that began Feb. 2, 2023, when police were called to a Delaware Township home where a 37-year-old man was found dead in the basement. The man died from an overdose of fentanyl and xylazine, according to the county coroner.
