A travel vlogger has revealed details about an enigmatic Scottish island that is home to rare wildlife and holds remarkable spiritual significance. Ruth Aisling , a Scot who has set out on a journey to explore her homeland after spending 12 years overseas, documents her Highland escapades on her YouTube channel bearing her name .

In a recent episode, titled 'Visiting Scotland's Most Mysterious Island' , Ruth sets out to discover an island located off the eastern shore of the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde.

During her opening remarks, Ruth characterised the destination as being "shrouded in mystery" and mentioned that dogs are banned from the island, a restriction enforced because of its "unique" wildlife .
