I've had a strange relationship with Borderlands . I've always appreciated the variety of guns, the humorous writing, and the tight gunplay. However, over the years, I felt that Borderlands had lost its way and was often outperformed by its competition, whether from another looter shooter or a loot-driven ARPG like Path of Exile . After playing through a section of Borderlands 4 , I've never been so excited about the series.
