NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Somewhat-humid conditions are present in Eastern New Mexico with few showers in western to northern areas to the high elevations. East-gap winds are calm but still occasionally breezy this morning in eastern to some central areas with very patchy fog in the Northeast Highlands.

Above-freezing temperatures are still once again confined to most of the higher peaks of the Northern Mountains with valley floor locations mostly starting off in the 40s or in the 50s. Elsewhere is mostly starting off in the upper 50s to the low 70s.

West-southwesterly upper-level winds are forming with lingering moisture around the high pressure system that has danced around mostly western areas of New Mexico to southern areas now. So, rounds of Monsoonal thunderstorms will form again because
