MECKLENBURG, Va. (WWBT) - The 19-year-old wanted in a deadly shooting that happened on I-85 has turned himself in, according to Virginia State Police.

“At approximately 6:02 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, a senior special agent with the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Appomattox Field Office was contacted by an acquaintance of Jason Allen Glidewell, II, and told that Glidewell wanted to turn himself in and was at the Meherrin River Regional Jail in Alberta, Va,” said Virginia State Police.

Glidewell was then taken into custody by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, with the help of the Town of Alberta Police Department and troopers from the Virginia State Police Area 22 Office.
