EVSC officials say a sixth-grade student brought a gun to Delaware Elementary School, hoping to sell it.

According to EVSC spokesperson Jason Woebkenberg, the handgun wasn’t loaded.

It was found in the student’s backpack in their locker.

Woebkenberg says there were no threats to students or staff, and classes continued as normal.

That student could face a possible 1 year expulsion.
