BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Numbers were drawn for Wednesday night’s Powerball worth a whopping $1.4 billion.

The possibilities are endless when a jackpot grows that large, but financial advisor Demond Oliver with Fundamental Wealth Advisors in Bryan said before spending big bucks, it’s important to slow down and build a plan.

“One of the things that you want to think about first and foremost is what does that look like,” he explained. “That’s a ton of money, what am I going to do with it, right? Who do I need to talk to? You want to build a team around you, starting with the financial advisor to guide you through that process.”

Oliver also warns against telling too many people about your newfound fortune.
