Lady Gaga made the "agonizing decision" to abruptly cancel a show in Miami shortly before the concert due to the "significant risk" of possible long-term damage to her vocal cords.

The 14-time Grammy winner was scheduled to play a show on "The Mayhem Ball" tour at Miami's Kaseya Center on Sept. 3 but shared on her Instagram story that a vocal cord issue made her postpone the concert.

"Hi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight's show in Miami," she wrote. "During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my dr and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.
