One person is in custody after a stolen state vehicle was involved in a crash with a trooper’s cruiser in New Britain on Wednesday.
The incident unfolded after troopers responded to the state Department of Children and Families New Britain office at 2:37 p.m. on the report of a stolen state vehicle, according to Connecticut State Police .
State police said the vehicle was being tracked and, once it was located, the driver struck a trooper’s cruiser. No troopers were injured.
The vehicle was then found abandoned in New Britain where one person was taken into custody with assistance from the New Britain Police Department, according to state police. The suspect was not immediately identified.
State police said the incident remains under investigation.
