Angela Rayner's newly acquired seaside flat in Hove was subjected to vandalism overnight. The £800k seafront apartment was defaced with offensive graffiti labelling her a "Tax Evader".

It is believed that Ms Rayner was not present in the flat at the time of the incident.

One message stated: "Tax Evader Rayner!" while another declared: "Tax Evasion" on the exterior wall of her apartment. On hoardings facing her balcony window, the same messages were repeated.

Another scrawl on the wall post simply read: "Bitch."

Approximately 20 yards further down the street - outside a luxury apartment previously owned by Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmour - two additional messages were found, reports the Mirror .
