CHICAGO — Felony charges have been filed against a 14-year-old boy accused of opening fire into a crowd of people on the city's West Side in late July, leaving four injured.
According to police, the teen, who has not been identified due to his age, has been charged with four felony counts of aggravated battery with the discharge of a firearm and one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm.
The charges stem from the teen's alleged role in a shooting that left several other teens injured.
Officers said the shooting unfolded just after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, in the 700 block of South Springfield Avenue, in West Garfield Park.
