Calgary police are trying to identify a man believed to be responsible for intentionally setting a truck on fire in the city’s southeast.

Officers responded to reports of a burning vehicle near 68 Street and 51 Avenue S.E. shortly before midnight on July 25.

The Calgary Fire Department also attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

The fire was ruled suspicious and the CPS Arson Unit opened an investigation.

“It is believed a 2017 Dodge Ram was intentionally set on fire using an accelerant,” CPS said in a news release.

Police have released images of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.
